LMS Summer School 2023: Registration (Closed)
How to participate
Participants will be students on mathematics programmes who are entering their final year of study in autumn 2023. Each University (mathematics and/or statistics department) in the UK via their nominated representative member of staff can select up to three students to participate in this summer school. The Sheffield organisers will then select the successful candidates and notify the nominators promptly.
Please note that only in-person participance is possible.
Students who would like to participate: please discuss this with your Head of Department, and then complete the form on the right, and return it, together with a copy of your academic transcript to date, to your Head of Department or LMS Representative. Your departments LMS representative who will forward nominations to the organisers.
Registration Fee Costs
After the nominations have closed and the organisers have distributed the list of attendees to home departments, registration fee(s) of £250 per student can be paid by home departments for their students using the following link: https://onlineshop.shef.ac.uk/conferences-and-events/faculty-of-science/faculty-of-science/london-mathematics-society-summer-school-2023-sheffield
The cost to attend the LMS Summer School is £250 per student to be paid in full prior to the start of the school. In addition, we ask that home departments cover the travel costs of their students via their usual expenses method. To facilitate this process, students should retain any receipts related to travel for reimbursement (If this is your home departments desired method.)

Eligibility Requirements
Students must have completed (the equivalent of) at least two full academic years of an undergraduate degree in mathematics/statistics at the time that the Summer School takes place and be continuing their mathematics undergraduate degree after the Summer School has finished.
